* First time ever in MBM's history, a two-day Diwali Mahotsav was organized on October 24th and 25th at Glenforest Secondary School in Mississauga. Combined, over 750 attendees experienced a unique program of Pu. La. - Ek Anandyatra performed by California based artists and musical performance by Rahul Deshpande (grandson of Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande - India's most illustrious classical vocalists). In addition, a 'Rangoli' and 'Akash Kandeel' competition along with 'Best-Dressed' Male and Female events were tried to add a flavor on the ocassion of Deepawali. As usual followed by a tasty and mouth-watering veg and non-veg Indian cuisine added an extra spice to the mahotsav.Click here to check the photos.

* Ganapati Utsav program was held on August 29th at Michael Power-St Joseph High School. Over 40 kids took part in the program and gave a memorable performance to a audience of over 350 people.'Ukdiche Modak' and 'Chavistha Jewan' followed with a paan added an extra flavour to the event. * Youth Summer Camp was held from July 17 to 19th at Woodland Trails Scout Camp, Stoufville, ON with 3 days of non-stop dirt-filled fun, exciting games, swimming, spooky stories and marshmallows was the highlight of this year's youth summer camp. Click here to check the photos.

* On May 23rd, 2009, Vasantik program was held. The event began with Satyanarayan Pooja subsequently followed by 3 programs - Spring Melody, Ekankika "Gappa" and Fashion Dhamaka. These three distinct programs were hugely appreciated, which entertained all age groups. Overall, Vasantik was a huge success and a truly Marathi-oriented occasion thoroughly enjoyed by more than 450 attendees. Click here to check the photos of this event.
