Cricket 2010

We are inviting everyone to participate in the 2010 Cricket Day. All interested participants are requested to submit their names with your contact details (i.e., email and phone number) by August 31st to one of the cricket volunteers - Ajay Pawar (289) 232-3656, Nitin Deshpande (905) 502-5970, Raju Konnur (416) 443-9597 or Vaibhav Karandikar (416) 518-0465.

With the support from Marathi Bhashik Mandal, Toronto, the cricket day (played with a tennis-taped ball) will be held on Sunday, September 5th (long weekend) at ‘Glenashton Park’ located at 2231 Eighth Line, Oakville, L6H 7E7. This is the same ground we played T20 last year. Free parking is available. Please wear comfortable shoes and outfit for the game.

The volunteers involved in organizing this event are also in the planning stage to build a “hard-ball” Marathi Cricket Club with a vision to qualify in one of the GTA leagues beginning summer 2011. More details will be shared during the Cricket Day. We encourage all “hard-ball” players to bring their hard-ball cricket kit/gears for possible try-outs. Necessary protective equipments will also be available on this day for your convenience.
