Member, Advisory Committee
We held a Special General body Meeting (SGM) on 2nd October 2011. One
of the items on the agenda was to elect the EC for 2012. But
there were no nominations and election had to be postponed. The
purpose of electing new committee members ahead of time was to
allow the new committee members to work with the existing EC and
closely experience the working of the EC and be prepared to take over
on January 1, 2012.
To work on the EC is a privilege. As an EC member you get an
opportunity to pay back to your community, and, at the same time, put
your ideas of how Mandal should run to test. Throughout the year,
you get a chance to develop your inter-personal skills and
you learn to work as a team member. You develop your self confidence by
planning, organizing and executing various programs/activities for the
public.
We, members of the Advisory Committee, are available to guide you,
support you, sometimes caution you while you carry out your volunteer
work. So, think seriously, and firm up your plans to work for our
Mandal for a year.
The election will be held at the AGM on December 4. Last date for
submitting your nominations, and other details will be communicated to
you via e-patra in the next few weeks.
